Welcome to the Delta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Portland State University! We are a group of wonderfully diverse young women who embody the five standards of what it means to be an Alpha Chi. These standards, which are leadership, personal development, character, financial responsibility and intellectual development, only scratch the surface at describing the amazing ladies of the Delta Omicron chapter. We were originally established at DePauw University, Indiana, in 1885. We received our charter at Portland State in 1961, and continue to grow stronger every year. It is with immense pride that I can say we have added eleven fabulous ladies to our chapter from our 2008 Fall Formal Recruitment!
It is an honor to serve as the 2009 Chapter President for Delta Omicron. I can honestly say that I have met the most influential women during my time with Alpha Chi, and I know that it is something that will never truly end. I know the ladies I have met here will always be a part of my life. I have found that the bond of sisterhood is a connection that cannot be rivaled by any other, as it is unbreakable. The women of our chapter come from many different backgrounds, have a wide variety of majors, and all have different dreams and aspirations. What we all share in common is the sisterhood and love that is Alpha Chi Omega.
Loyally Yours,
Whitlee L. Preim
President of Delta Omicron Chapter
